The weather and wind had looked threatening but didn't materialise into anything troublesome. A fantastic turn-out and atmosphere, with all riders focused on getting round and raising money - you can't beat cycling in a mass event. Our training paid off as we were able to up our pace throughout the event and turned for home, (5 miles out), with time and energy to sprint. I had hoped to finish around 4hrs 40mins, so I'm very pleased with my 4.19. Entries for 2011 are open - sub 4 has to be the target and more money to be raised.
